As software-as-a-service (SaaS) continues to mature, more and more applications (processes) become available on the web.  This means that browsers are now starting to take the role that operating system once had.

No matter how indifferent you might be about the operating system, you know the browser still needs it. Moreover, you need a warranty that your browser will delivery its utility (reach your sites on the web) as needed, with sufficient capacity, continuously and securely.
